Moving Day: Bulk Import Export Terms of Service
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you, the merchant who installs or uses Moving Day: Bulk Import Export ("the app"), and SAB Ventures LLC, doing business as Duskford Digital ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. Your use of Shopify is also governed by Shopify's own terms.
1. The app
The app lets you move your product catalog in and out of Shopify with a spreadsheet. You can export your products to a CSV or Excel file, change the file, and import it back. Before an import writes anything, the app runs a dry run: it compares your file with your store and shows you every change it would make, and every row it can't use, with the reason. When you choose to import, it applies those changes to your store through Shopify's Admin API. You can undo your most recent import within a time window, with the limits in section 5.
The app works on products, variants, product and variant metafields and inventory quantities. It can add images to products it creates. It does not change images on products that already exist, and it does not touch customers, orders, collections or anything else in your store. An import never deletes a product or a variant; the only deletions the app can make are of products and variants it created itself, when you choose that while undoing an import (section 5).
2. Your responsibilities
- Your account and store: you keep your Shopify account and settings in good order and follow Shopify's terms. You are responsible for who in your store can use the app.
- Your laws: you must follow the laws that apply to your store, including consumer protection, tax, marketing and privacy laws, and you are responsible for the products, prices and descriptions you publish.
- Your customers: the app doesn't read information about your customers. If you put personal information into a file or product text, you are responsible for having the right to do so.
3. Your file and your review
This is the part of these terms that matters most. An import can change thousands of products at once.
- The file is yours. You choose it, you prepared it, and you are responsible for what it says: its prices, stock quantities, statuses, tags, descriptions, handles and every other value. The app applies what the file says. It does not know what you meant.
- Review the dry run before you import. The dry run shows what will change and what won't. Read it, including the warnings and the rows with errors, before you press the button. If a dry run looks wrong, do not import. By pressing the import button you accept the changes the dry run showed.
- The dry run is a snapshot. It reflects your store when it was made. A dry run is good for 60 minutes; after that, you must run it again. Where the store changes between the dry run and the import, for example stock that was sold, the app skips or compares those values as the app describes on the page, but it can't promise to catch every change made by you, another app or a customer's order at the same moment.
- Keep your own backup. Export your products before a large import and keep the file. Undo is a convenience with limits (section 5), not a backup.
- Files from other apps: the app reads files in the column format shown in the app, which includes Shopify's own product CSV. If your file comes from somewhere else, check how its columns were matched on the mapping step.
- Shopify's results: every change is accepted or refused by Shopify. The app reports what Shopify said. If Shopify refuses some changes, the rest may still be applied, and the results page lists what happened row by row.
4. Plans, billing and limits
- Plans and prices are shown on the app's Plan page and its Shopify App Store listing. Shopify bills paid plans on your Shopify invoice, under Shopify's billing terms.
- Free and paid: the Free plan imports and exports files up to 100 rows. A paid plan lifts that limit to the file cap below. You can dry-run any file on any plan, whatever its size, up to the file cap; importing a file over your plan's row limit is refused.
- No trial: the paid plan has no free trial. The dry run is how you see what a file would do before you pay.
- What counts as a row: a data row in your file, not the header. A product with five variants takes five rows. Rows are counted when you import, not on the dry run, and on an export they are the rows in the file.
- Limits on every plan: a file may have up to 50,000 rows, 500 columns and 65,535 characters in a cell; only one import and one export can run at a time for your store; and you can start up to 20 imports and 20 exports an hour. We may change these limits to protect the app, and will tell you before a change that significantly reduces what your plan allows.
- Changing plans: you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel through Shopify at any time.
- Refunds: fees are non-refundable, except where the law or Shopify's billing policies require otherwise.
- Price changes: we will give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of your current plan.
5. Undo, and its limits
Undo puts your store back as it was before an import, where it can. It is not a guarantee, and it does not work in every case. Specifically:
- Only your most recent import can be undone, and only while no newer import has been imported. Once a newer import goes in, the older one can't be undone.
- For 7 days. An import can be undone for 7 days after it was imported. After that, undo is not available, and the import's records are deleted as the Privacy Policy describes.
- It checks first. Undo starts with its own check, which compares your store now with what the import wrote. You see the result, and confirm before anything changes. That check is good for 60 minutes; after that, you check again. Between the check and the moment undo writes a product's or variant's fields, Shopify offers no way for the app to detect an edit you make in that window, so such an edit can be overwritten.
- Changes made since are left alone. Undo only puts back a value if it is still what the import wrote. If you, another app or a customer changed it afterwards, the app leaves it and lists it for you to fix by hand. Undo does not restore a value you changed on purpose.
- Stock is put back as a change, not a reset, by default: if an import raised a quantity by 40 and 3 sold since, undo takes the 40 off and leaves the rest. If putting a quantity back would leave it lower than it was before the import, undo skips that line and tells you. You can choose to restore exact quantities instead, which applies only where the quantity is still what the import set.
- Products the import created are set to draft and taken off the Online Store by default, not deleted. Variants an import added to existing products are left in place. You may choose, on the undo page, to delete the products and variants the import created. That is permanent and the app can't bring them back. It happens only where nothing the import set has changed since.
- Some things can't be put back exactly. For example, a weight the variant didn't have before comes back as zero, because Shopify can't unset one.
- Undo can't be undone. And an import's undo covers only what that import applied. It doesn't cover changes made in your store by anyone else.
- Shopify can refuse. Shopify accepts or refuses each change. Undo reports lines that couldn't be put back, and you can check again while it's still allowed.
- Retrying failed lines after an import is allowed once, within 60 minutes, and only while it is your latest import.
You are responsible for checking your store after an import and after an undo.
6. Acceptable use
You will not:
- use the app for anything illegal, or to import products you have no right to sell;
- try to break the app's security, overload it or get around its limits;
- use the app to interfere with other merchants, or with Shopify;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app.
7. Data and privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. The app doesn't ask for or read information about your customers. If personal information ends up in your files or product text, we process it only to provide the app, on your instructions. We:
- keep it confidential and protect it with appropriate security;
- use only the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy;
- delete it when Shopify tells us to, including after you uninstall the app.
Your imports, with every row of your file, and your export files are kept for 7 days after they finish (an import that can still be undone is kept until the undo window ends), and then deleted. Download what you need to keep.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the app available and working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and Shopify's own availability and limits affect it. An import or export can take a while, depending on its size and on Shopify. If the app stops partway through an import, for example because Shopify or the app was unavailable, the results page shows which changes were applied and which weren't, and you can undo what was applied. We may change or improve features. We will tell you before a change that significantly reduces what your plan includes.
9. Ownership
We own the app and everything in it. You own your store data, your files and the export files made from your store. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
10. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app is free of errors, that every row will import, that a dry run will predict every outcome, or that an undo will put everything back.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, sales, revenue, data or goodwill, including from a wrong price, stock quantity or product change that your file contained, or from a change made to your store that undo could not put back;
- our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you used only the free plan.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your store, your files, the products you publish, your dealings with your customers, your use of the app in breach of these terms, or your breach of these terms.
13. Ending the agreement
- You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app.
- We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or misuse the app.
Your store's data is deleted after you uninstall, as the Privacy Policy describes. Once you uninstall, undo is no longer available. Sections 3, 5 and 9 to 14 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If we make a significant change, we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
